Yes, I did edit a long Melville post at work. I am plaided and belted today to leave a grand impress on any alumni that happen to saunter into my neck of the cubicles. 

I am going home this afternoon. 

I downloaded the audiobook of Hardwick’s biography of Melville to listen to on the four-hour drive.

Jeremy is back from Afghanistan. A.J. requested that I come home to see him. I’m bringing a medium-sized Notre Dame hooded sweatshirt as a gift. This trip does double-duty: I get to avoid the Michigan game extravaganza if I head out of South Bend; and, I get to take pictures of Jeremy and treasure him.
